U.S. Congressman Darren Soto Endorses Andrew Jeng For Kissimmee City Commissioner

 

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (July 7, 2018) – Andrew Jeng’s campaign announced today that U.S. Congressman Darren Soto, whose congressional district includes Kissimmee, parts of Orlando and Haines City, has endorsed Jeng’s candidacy for Kissimmee City Commissioner, Seat 2.

Congressman Soto’s endorsement for Jeng was more than praise. It was personal. “Andrew Jeng has worked diligently with me to create higher paying jobs, build more affordable housing and embrace our diversity in Kissimmee. He is a hard worker with tremendous energy and drive, and will serve our citizens well on the Kissimmee City Commission.”

Darren Soto made history as the first Floridian of Puerto Rican descent to serve in the U.S. Congress. Andrew Jeng is likewise poised to make history as the first Chinese American elected to public office in the state of Florida.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings Endorses Andrew Jeng For Kissimmee City Commissioner

ORLANDO, Fla.  – Today Kissimmee City Commission, Seat 2 candidate Andrew Jeng’s campaign released a video from Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings endorsing Jeng’s candidacy for Kissimmee City Commissioner. For over 15 years, Jeng, a former Taiwan Police Lieutenant, served as a liaison official between Orange County law enforcement agencies and foreign police leaders in their training efforts.

The video shows Sheriff Demings standing next to Andrew Jeng at an Orange County event expressing his support for Jeng’s campaign bid.

“Building safer and stronger communities will be one of my top priorities as the next Kissimmee City Commissioner, and I’m deeply honored to have the support of Sheriff Demings,” stated Jeng. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Kissimmee police and firefighters to help tackle our emerging public safety challenges.”

Jeng earned a bachelor’s of law degree from Central Police University in Taiwan. He’s also a current member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Political Newcomer Andrew Jeng Raises A Stunning $25,000 In Kissimmee Commission Race

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 20, 2018) – Tech entrepreneur and smart city candidate Andrew Jeng, who is new to the political arena, has qualified and raised $25,000 in his bid for Kissimmee City Commission Seat 2. His nearest opponent has raised only $1,550.

Since his campaign kickoff, Jeng has rolled up his sleeves, started knocking on doors and making phone calls, and meeting with donors. His efforts have been paying off. “I’m excited to have donations pouring in locally and nationwide to support my historic campaign for Kissimmee City Commissioner.” Jeng is the first esteemed Chinese American to run for public office in the City of Kissimmee.
